Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is charged 7 days before arrivalto the payment method on file. If the balance charge fails we’ll reach out; if we can’t collect it before check-in the reservation may be released.

Cancellation Policy

• 15+ days before arrival: Free cancellation. Your deposit is refunded in full.
• 7–14 days before arrival: A cancellation charge equal to 50% of the total stay applies.
• Within 7 days of arrival: The reservation is non-refundable and the full stay is charged.
• No-show: Treated as a within-7-day cancellation (non-refundable, full charge).

Modifications (dates, room type, guest count) follow the same schedule as cancellations — a change made within the non-refundable window may forfeit the original stay. To request a change, contact us at info@thelibraryhistorichotel.com or call (269) 767-9255.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in from 4:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM. This is a self-check-in property; a unique door code is sent before arrival. See the Guest Information page for full arrival details, house rules, and the adults-only (21+) policy.

Guest Responsibility & Damage

The name on the reservation is responsible for the guests and behavior in the suite. By checking in, the guest authorizes The Library to charge the payment method on file for missing items, willful damage, excessive cleaning, or repairs required as a result of the stay, in addition to any fees required by law.

Unauthorized additional guests, unregistered overnight visitors, or sharing of access codes may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund, as detailed in our house rules.

Adults-Only Property

The Library is a 21-and-over property. We do not accommodate children, infants, or pets. Reservations made on behalf of guests under 21 will be canceled without refund at check-in.

Smoking, Substances & Pets

The building is entirely non-smoking, including all suites, common areas, the Archive Lounge, and the rooftop deck. Violations incur a deep-cleaning fee charged to the payment method on file. Pets are not permitted; certified service animals are welcome — please let us know in advance so we can prepare.

Force Majeure

Cancellations or interruptions due to events beyond our reasonable control — severe weather, utility failure, government orders, or similar — will be handled case-by-case in good faith. Where possible we’ll offer to rebook your stay for a future date at no additional charge.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking is the version that applies to your stay.
